Helius has opened its first set of classes to the public. Classes will be held Tuesday evenings from 6 to 7 pm beginning September 30th. The session will be six classes long. Each class will teach:
Week 1: Defining Your Business
In this class, you will learn to identify your business's true purpose, locate your competition, and identify your competitive advantage.
Week 2: Building Your Business
Week 2 teaches you how to put your business together by focusing on your strengths. You will also learn how to identify and overcome the weaknesses of your business and how to spot threats and opportunities.
Week 3: Designing Your Product
This week, you learn how to build the product that your customers need, rather than simply "doing what you've always done." We help you identify your customer's wants and needs and help you develop exactly the products and services that they are willing to pay for.
Week 4: Financing Basics
One of the most common reasons small businesses fail is because they are unable to manage their finances. In Week 4 you will learn how to balance your company books and how to do basic financial forecasting so that you are prepared for most financial problems before they arise.
Week 5: Writing Your Business Plan
By Week 5 you'll have put together a lot of information. We'll show you how to create a strategic plan, including milestones and financial forecasts. When you're done, you'll have a playbook that will help you build a strong, successful business.
Week 6: The Finishing Touches
This week is all about the fine details. We'll spend the class answering questions specific to your businesses and your situations. We'll end class with a celebration for all of your hard work!
